Ok, So I am ready to try and tackle this

We need to get the rules set. These rules will be updated as things pop up.

1. Members MUST be able to pay once we achieve our goal. Do not join if you are not going to be able to pay upon completion.

2. Only one non serial numbered card may be submitted unless 1 member submits multiples. This will keep any confusion as to whose card graded what. (ie If I post that I am submitting a 2007 Topps Chrome Adrian Peterson RC, no one else can submit that same card this round. However, I can submit as many as I want of that card.)

3. Payments will only be accepted in the form of Money Orders (Checks on case by case basis). This will help to reduce fees. At a 100 cards, this will be well over a $1,000 transaction.

4. Members must submit a full list of what cards they are planning on submitting. Once a list has been submitted, please do not edit it. If you wish to add more, please do so in a separate post. I will use the second post in this thread to create a list of what will be sent in for grading by member. The list must include the card details as well as the value of the card.

5. Cards should be mailed in the suggested Semi Rigid Grading sleeves. If you dont have any, I will ensure that I have some in stock. Please ensure that you add extra funds to cover the proper sleeves.

6. Each member is responsible for the amount of insurance he/she wishes to claim for their cards. If you declare $2000 in value, add an additional $20 for insurance, etc.

7. The host will provide all tracking and updates as they are available.

8. The host IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for cards received damaged, so ensure that they are well protected.

Costs are as follows:

20 Day:

100+ $9.00 per card

31-99 $10.00 per card

Certified Autographs cost an additional $2.00 per card.


UPS Shipping from BGS: 38 Per 100

Insurance will be $10 per $1000

Thanks! Didnt catch the extra "0" my allergies are all messed up and my eyes are watering like crazy. You are right. the cards alone will be 900.00 but then you have the insurance and shipping and such

3. What's the target # of cards? Do we need to reach 100? Would be cool if you kept a tally (x/100) to see our progress in filling this out.

As for me, I'd probably like to get 5 non-auto cards graded...will get you the list shortly. Thanks for organizing.

id say we divide shipping per card

so total cost divided by total cards equals what each card cost times your number of cards submitted

2. Cots will be split depending on how many cards you send. Same as insurance. I will take the total cost and divide by the number of cards submitted. Then multiply the number of cards each person submits and that will be that persons shipping cost.

3. Right now target is 100+ However, if we have trouble reaching 100 it will then be up to the group if we want to submit with a lower number, raising the costs. I plan on making a spreadsheet like I do with my breaks that will do all of the math for me including the number of cards planned for submission which I will share with the group as I update it

Sounds good! Thanks for your responses. I'm gonna dig into the old closet tonight to see if I can get more than 5 cards. But it only looks like we have 7 cards total (12 with my 5 added) so far...wasn't there more interest in the other thread?

Yes. Give it time This will be a work in progress! I dont expect this to happen overnight. We still have details to figure out as well.

Easy fix...just damage one of the cards so when it comes back from BGS you'll know which one it is!!!

I'm in for one definitely. My MJ auto. Any idea what the declared value on a short printed MJ auto Wizards era is?? Oy. I may see if I have any Kmarts I'm interested in slabbing as well. Maybe a few Duncan RCs if they look OK. I'll dig around this weekend.
