Ever want to join a box break club and your favorite team is never available? Been there, done that. Well this is your chance to join and pick your team favorite. A couple of friends and I decided to start are own box break club because of the limited good teams available. Actually I encourage other TCC members to start their own Box break club so all members don't have to wait for their team to become available.
Now lets take a look at the club rules: (These rules may seem similar to another clubs rules, its just what my friends and I agreed upon)
1. $25 a team, $22 for any additional team. 2. PayPal payments only. 3. Club members will give input on what boxes to purchase. 4. Videos will be made of each box break and will be broadcast LIVE on UStream. 5. Team owners have first choice to either hold on to their team or choose an unclaimed team for the following month. 6. If a member does not reclaim their team(s) and does not participate in the break the following month, then their team(s) will be forfeited that month.
Our objective is to make all our club members happy. We want to make sure we send everyone a hit or two. Hits are classified as Game Used, Autographs, Printing Plates, serial numbered cards, refractors of all sorts, and redemptions. So, box preference is crucial. I will try to mix it up with at least 1 high end box, several middle to low end boxes, and 1 rookies box.
*****Rules for members with claimed teams:*****
1. There will be a deadline date for claiming teams. 2. Once deadline for claiming teams has passed, the members of the group will have a 5 day period in which they can pick up any other remaining teams at a special $10 price. The discounted teams do not carry over into the next month. 3. The extra teams that are picked will count towards the random drawing.
Rules for cards from unclaimed teams:
1. Hits from these teams will be randomly distributed to members by drawing names out of a hat and will be done live on ustream. 2. Claiming more than one team does increase your odds of winning. 3. Once you have been awarded an unclaimed hit, your name will be removed from the drawing (unless you have claimed more than 1 team). 4. If there are more unclaimed hits than members/claimed teams, then there will be a second round of drawings. 5. Unclaimed base cards will be distributed to all members randomly and will not be done live nor taped.
More deciding rules:
1. Cards with multiple teams represented will be decided by drawing names out of a hat between the owners of the teams on the card. 2. Cards with a player that is wearing a different jersey than what card says goes to team depicted on card, not by jersey. 3. Cards with a player in their minors/college/USA jersey will go to the team they were drafted by.
If, by chance, your team does not pull any base cards I will send u cards from my PC of your claimed teams.
There you go. Thats bout it. If there are any changes or additions in the rules, they will be posted here on the thread.

Be patient and please read..LOL
Just for fun, like every month, I figured I would try to something together based on the assumed 500 bones…
Based on Blowout cards…12th July
2010 Allen and Ginter- $99.00 (3 hits…maybe random the non baseball or agree to sell the non baseball and roll it into next break or divide it amongst members etc) 2009 Donruss EEE-$99.00 (6-11 hits) 2009 SP Legendary Cuts (4 hits) 2008 UD Heroes- $79.99 (4 hits) 2007 Donruss EEE-$121.99(4 hits)
Totals: $484.73 Hits : 21-26 (not including case hits or something of that nature)
Here is my thought process and I may be in the minority and that is perfectly fine. Personally I am sick of 08 SPX, I understand the prices for the number of “hits” but I would rather not see it. Also, I tried my best to avoid products that heavily favored certain teams like the Yankees or Red Sox and tried to find products that had quality teams spread out amongst members of the break. It looks like there are two prospect boxes on the list but if you look at 2007 EEE a lot of the big guns are already doing their thing in the majors so it is not a hit and miss type thing.. (See.. Heyward, Weiters, Price, Jackson, Davis, Latos, Scherzer, Anderson, Bumgarner to name a few) Most are all on different teams also. Heroes is a solid product with a wide range of nice cards spread out over a decent amount of teams. Same for Legendary Cuts… 2009 EEE is just a cool product and again spread out with quality prospects on many different teams. Like I said I was trying to think of something that gave value to every teams owned in the break and tried to keep it from being to “specific team” heavy, although hard. If you actually read this far in my post thanks for the read.
Thoughts to my logic?

I have not been getting a lot of box suggestions the past couple of months so that is the reason for the 08 SPX. What do the others think about this list? Depending on who comes back we might be able to add another low end box in there.

Sure there are some nice hits but I think we could do 2 decent boxes for the same price. We could even do 08 Elite for $69 which has guys like Ike Davis, Beckham, Porcello, Mike Stanton, Posey, etc. Then with that add something like UD Masterpieces (2 hits with 1 being an on card auto) or 2010 UD (3 hits). Also if we do Legendary Cuts I would like to throw it out there that the Washington Senators should go to the Twins in case that comes up.

Obviously majority rules but I actually I not a fan of 08 EEE for whatever reason however there are some decnet cards to get out of it. Masterpieces is a decent product.. I know it is a bit off base but what about 09 Ballpark Collection (think its around 125) 4 packs, each pack has one dual and triple GU, then two packs have either 6 or eight piece and two autos.. 12 hits in it..
