But I gotta tell ya, I don't like ANY of the candidates! NJ has had the worst run of Governor's since the 1980's. What the heck is wrong with this state's officials?

I honestly didn't want to vote, but if I didn't then I wouldn't have the right to complain when the new Gov. makes things worse. wink.gif sadwalk.gif

Poor New Jersey. The corruption there only pales when compared to New Orleans. Did you want to share your choice with the rest of the class?

So how's that "Hope and Change" working for incumbent Democrats this morning?
Let the lib spin begin!!! (hey that rhymes)

George Snuffleupagus said it best. "The president better start listening to people when it comes to government spending and this economy."

NY 23 was interesting though... The clear divide amongst republicans was seen (hardcore vs moderate). Palin and Beck did not help Hoffman. Republicans just lost a district they've held for 120 years.

Shrinking tent? We ran an all-inclusive, populist candidate in 2008 and how'd that work out? laugh.gif
I laugh my butt off every time some lib tries the whole shrinking tent theory. The conservative tent is America. We don't cater to every little demographic group for votes. Everyone is welcome in our tent.

You're purging your own party, Stalin style. Scozzafava clearly wasn't welcome. Neither was specter. It won't surprise me when Olympia Snowe gets knocked out next.

I would also like to add this:

1. You ran a old, spoiled-rich, crabby, warhawk guy and an incomprehensible cheerleader whose largest political achievements respectively were losing the 2000 presidential election and a halfterm state governorship. They campaigned for open-ended war, laissez faire fiscal policy in the face of a depression, and tax cuts for the rich. That is hardly what I would call all-inclusive, and definitely not what anybody would call Populist.

2. Apparently you don't see the irony in juxtaposing the word "conservative" with the term "all-inclusive."

3. America is a place where those "little demographic group[s]" are swiftly becoming larger and larger. Good luck not courting them.

I got phone calls from John Corzine, Chris Christie, Christie Whitman, and even the President himself telling me to vote for this or that candidate. None of the advertising between Corzine & Christie was remotely positive, it was just both of them going at each other's throats. It's funny how Christie's campaign said he'd root out the corruption the Corzine's tenure brought NJ. I don't know where this guy's been (maybe not in NJ?), but the corruption's been rampant throughout the Republican run here for years. I honestly don't even blame it on a political party, but officials in general who have turned too many blind eyes to issues that ultimately have driven this state into the gutter.

Christie ® won, and I hope he truly does something, because this state REALLY needs something uplifting.

And I'd rather not say who I voted for, I want to at least give Christie a chance, although I don't have much "hope."

Excuse me? They are still welcome. Whether they choose to come in or not is their choice. Compare that to the venom spewed by the other side if you're anti-gay marriage or pro-life.
