Canandaigua, N.Y. – The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation requests your help to locate a stolen Ted Williams baseball card.

It is a 1954 Wilson Franks, Ted Williams baseball card and is worth approximately $5,500. It was assigned a grade of 4, by the Professional Sports Authenticator. Out of 106 of these same cards, only 11 have received a grade of 4.

The card was stolen from a hotel in Farmington N.Y., sometime around October 4.

The BCI believes the card is rare enough that it could not be sold without arousing suspicion.

If you have information, please call Investigator M. Eifert (585) 398-4121.

The victim has offered a reward for the return of the card.

I saw that on the WHAM last night and was very surprised.

Now im thinking it either has to be a hotel employee or some one who knew the guy had the card.

Probably. I'm guessing that there was a card show near by and as you said someone knew the guy had it.

Reminds me of those crime stories you hear about comic stores or card shops being robbed and select high value items missing.
