ah come on man that's mean. you should never wish harm on a player. especially one you just loved 3-4 days ago. Ben isnt all about the money. if he was he'd have gone to Atlanta or something like that. Detroit took care of Rip and Tayshaun before Ben and that probably made him upset. Ben took slightly more money to play for a team he wanted to play for. they have a nice core and look to be competitive for years. if he was all about the money he'd have gone to a losing team with no hope for the future. he didnt.

of course its all about money... detroit had a great shot at a dynasty and he was the heart of it, we took a chance on him when washington and orlando both did nothing with him... we made him what he is and he is gonna turn his back on 1 million dollars more a year? cmon if thats not about money then what is? and i remember someone saying it would be tough to replace ben wallace if he left, but if billups left it was impossible to replace... also does anyone know what rasheed wallace stayed with the pistons for?

Ben made himself who he is with hard work and dedication to the game. he could've given up when he wasnt drafted but he didnt. Pistons had a great shot at a dynasty I agree. this season...the title was a LOCK for them. it was their title to lose. they lost it. somewhere along the line the team lost their hunger and heart. Ben saw that.

yes and without detroit making the trade to get him he had not shot at EVER winning a title in orlando and he knows that as well... your right he made himself the player he is today, but playing for a winning team like detroit is what is getting him the offers he is getting now.. the title woulda been a LOCK for Detroit next year they would of had so much hunger to retain what was rightfully theirs... my best hope now is we get Garnett, make the playoffs as the 3 seed and play chicago as the 6 seed and just sweep em out of the building biggrin.gif then of course knock out lebron and wade/shaq in the next 2 rounds... o man i am looking forward to this season smile.gif

Wallace probably had no shot at winning a title in Orlando...but would Detroit have had a shot at winning a title w/o Wallace?........

it seems like we are just going in circles... if detroit would have never picked up wallace we may have been able to get the likes of shaq when he left the lakers, wallace was not a good player until he realized he had a shot at the title in detroit then for whatever reason he stepped it up and became a great player... but to answer your question about detroit winning a title without wallace, we will see this year wont we biggrin.gif
