Hello all. Yes, I am new to this site but have years of involvement on other sites, most notably Beckett. About 6 months ago I started a Boxbreaker group to run monthly group breaks as I simply couldn't afford to bust all the wax I was in order to improve my team collecting PC. We started out with just a Football group and we quickly filled all 32 teams and participants were asking to expand so last month we introduced a Baseball group and this month are doing our first Basketball group break.
The rules are pretty simple...cost is $40 for the first team and $38 for each additional (regardless of sport) and of that $36 goes to buying products which are only purchased from Blowout and DACardworld. The rest covers paypal fees and cost of materials (toploaders, etc.) and shipping. You claim your team and you get every card pulled from your team (base, rookie, parallel, insert, gu, auto, 1/1, etc.) You then get first dibs on retaining your team for the next months break and for as long as you choose to continue. Each month shortly after the previous break we post the product list (usually about $800-1,000 in products each month - based on how many teams we fill) and product lists are formed from participant suggestions. We always break a range of years to give as many teams as possible a good shot at their "hot rookie crop" whenever that may have been but usually ranging from 2003-2008. We do all the boxes in one Live break on a forum board and the higher end products are posted on Youtube so you can see the actual breaks.

The June break is scheduled for this Sunday so there's just a few days left but if you have interest in the available teams just let me know. Here is this months product list followed by the current team assignments. For the BK group only, we are capping at 15 participants and you will get a drafted team as well so you will get two teams for the cost of one (however with only 15 teams filled we have a smaller product list this month). Next month as our group grows (as the others have) we will be able to add more products and get some higher end stuff into the mix. Here's June;

A slow start with this group but with a cap at only 15 teams we have 6 slots left and you get two teams (the 2nd can't be guaranteed to be a specific team but will note your requests and try as much as possible to pair you up with a team you like).
Hope you look beyond the fact that I am new here and take the time to check out our group as we are well established, well run, and I am in this as a team collector so there is no hidden agenda here. Just trying to find an affordable way to collect my team. Either way thanks for considering...
